Using the work of Brené Brown, we will break down the complexity of trust into 7 basic elements, with each one being an opportunity to earn greater trust as well as a danger of losing it. Participants will leave with tangible tools to gain the trust of others.

Leadership Presence is a skill, not a trait. While it may come naturally to some more than others, the good news is that we can develop the skill. In this class, we will talk about what leadership presence is, why it is important in your leadership development, and some tips for improving it.

This class will equip professionals to effectively “pause” before reacting in situations that may be awkward, overwhelming, or regrettable. Knowing how to “pause” and wisely choose the best path forward is a powerful skill that improves professionalism and leadership presence.

One of the most valuable contributions anyone can make to another’s learning is constructive feedback. If you take the time to offer feedback about the work of others (whether a peer, a manager or a direct report), you demonstrate that you care about them. However, poorly given feedback can leave the receiver feeling attacked, put down, and even confused. In this class, we will discuss skills for offering effective feedback to others as well as pulling feedback for your own professional development.

Let’s face it—as a leader, you have a lot on your plate. Sometimes it can seem like too much and that overwhelmed feeling can leave you feeling paralyzed—especially when there’s no end in sight. How can you both make peace with the inevitable nature of feeling overwhelmed as a leader AND reframe to combat the negative impact it can have on you and your team? In this class, we will find the balance by asking the questions, “What’s in YOUR control?”

This class explores the challenges and opportunities of managing remote employees.  Shifting our mindset from trying to even out the work-life balance to putting together pieces of a puzzle is needed to embrace the new reality.
