I have in-depth Human Resources, Training and Sales Development experience across three industries in small to mid-size organizations and have served at all levels from entry level to senior leader. My undergraduate degree is from Berea College in Berea, KY and I hold an MBA from James Madison University. I earned the Senior Professional in Human Resources designation from the Society of Human Resources Management. Having a passion for continuous learning, I currently serve on the board of a private high school in Charlottesville, Virginia.
I enjoy using my strengths in program development and design – examples include compensation, soft skills and leadership training, performance management, recruitment, and policy development – and have a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion. I believe that as much can be learned from our success as from what might be perceived as failure and because I’ve had both, I’m willing to share both for my client’s benefit.
In a recent survey my colleagues used these top 5 adjectives to describe me: knowledgeable, hard-working, persistent, thoughtful, courageous.
When I’m not working, learning or volunteering, I like to enjoy the natural beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
